Q Are manufactured home loans subject to Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) requirement?
A It depends.
RESPA protections apply to real property. So manufactured homes (also called mobile homes) that aren’t attached to land don’t trigger RESPA requirements.
But if the manufactured loan is located on real property and the credit union's interest is secured by a lien on that property, then RESPA would apply.
