Shonda Clay, senior vice president of customer relations and support for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, gave an overview of a survey the Fed conducted in late 2013 on how to improve the current payments system.

The survey sought input from payments providers and end users on payments system gaps, opportunities, and desired outcomes; potential strategies and tactics to shape the future payments system; and the Fed's role in implementing these strategies.

She addressed the CUNA Payments Roundtable Tuesday in Las Vegas.
