Credit unions are in "once in a generation" battle with banks over the credit union tax status, CUNA President/CEO Bill Cheney said Wednesday during a Town Hall meeting with CUNA employees in Madison, Wis.

Meetings with CU representatives in Australia on a recent trip reinforced the righteousness of the Don't Tax My Credit Union message, he says, because laws taxing Australian CUs have significantly changed the movement Down Under.
