Member credit unions in Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming voted in favor of a three-way merger, creating the new Mountain West Credit Union Association.

Announcing the results of the vote were Mike Williams, chairman of the Credit Union Association of Colorado, Marsha Tynsky, chairwoman of the Credit Union Association of Wyoming, and Robert D. Ramirez, chairman of the Arizona Credit Union League, during the Colorado association’s annual meeting in Colorado Springs.

“Serving our member credit unions is what’s most important,” says Tynsky. “This merger gives us all the opportunity to increase and improve our member services.”

Scott Earl, Arizona Credit Union League president/CEO, will become the new CEO of the Mountain West Credit Union Association, which will be based in Denver with offices and staff in Phoenix and Casper, Wyo.
